FAO Angola - Success Story of Ernestina Chipita (Namibe), beneficiary of Artisanal Fisheries Project

This is the success story of Ms. Ernestina Chipita, an example of overcoming, courage, dynamism, and economic empowerment of women linked to the fisheries sector, currently President-elect of Tombwa Fish Market Mercado, in Tombwa, Namibe. Ernestina is one of the beneficiaries of the Artisanal Fisheries Project (UTF / 056) implemented by FAO Angola and by the Institute for the Development of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture (IPA) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MINAGRIP) of Angola and with funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB). As a lead by example, Ms, Ernestina is transmitting and teaching to other Angolan women what she has learned during the Project.
